Schlager Parade

Yesterday was the schlager parade in Chur. I cant say that the music was very good but hey--a few thousand wildly dressed swiss packed into about 2 blocks of space. What could be funner? But seriously I thoroughly enjoyed myself. All my friends from school were there(a few in the parade) And after the parade there was a big schlagerconcert party thing. Oh and thats a trashbag that says fest without rest I thought it was cool.

Luzern

Last weekend I was in Luzern with a bunch of other exchange students. Unfortunately the picture only has the train station in the background and its only a few of the exchange students that were there. Anyway it was alot of fun being back toghether with everybody--we know eachother pretty well becaus we were all at the language school.

Cows

On Saturday the cows came down from their summer home into Flims. There was quite a gathering there to view this spectacle. It was rather impressive. The cow bells are comically large--it was deafening.

Mountains

Today was awesome. We climbed Flimserstein...the mountain in Flims. As you can see from the pictures it was pretty snowy. It was 8641 feet at the top. So we climbed over 5000 feet. From the top we took the cable car and then the ski lift back down into Flims. plus i got a pic of a marmot

Schedule

School is going good although im in some pretty advanced classes. A little clarification- deutsch=german physik=physics franz./italien=french and italian(which I dont have to go to) Wirtschaft + Recht=economy and law geschichte=history turnen=p.e. chemie=chemistry. Today we took a bike tour through the Rhein river valley it was fun, and I got to see alot of the area aound Chur.

St Moritz

On Saturday I went to St Moritz. I took the wrong train(easy to do at small trainstations that youve never been to) and ended up really far away from St Moritz, but it was fun anyway...got to see some new places. So I finally made it to St Moritz at 6 and didnt have time to take the walk that I had planned on taking. In the pictures you can see the lake and mountains and a huge palace.
